In honor of the new skating production Disney On Ice presents Dare to Dream featuring Disney’s new princess—the long, golden-haired Rapunzel from “Tangled”—Disney On Ice and Great Clips invite the Salt Lake City community to participate in a heartwarming hair donation campaign to benefit Children With Hair Loss, a non-profit organization that provides customized human hair replacements and care kits at no cost to an average of 300 children annually.

Donating your hair is a very moving experience.  My daughter Alyssa made a donation of hair last year.  How to donate your hairIt was a brave thing for her to do.  In the end it was hard for her to part with her hair, but she truly wanted to help another child, so with a few tears she made the cut. 056 (3) In the end she LOVED her new style. It’s a great way to teach a child about compassion and service.

Hair donations (at least 8” long) will be accepted at participating Great Clips locations throughout Utah on Saturday, Feb. 23, from noon to 4:00 p.m. In appreciation of the generous donation, each donor will receive a free cut,blow dry AND two complimentary tickets to see Disney On Ice presents Dare to Dream, while supplies last. The central downtown Great Clips salon located at 906 E 900 S in Salt Lake City will provide salon services for donations from noon to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 23.

The first 25 hair donors at this location will receive a princess crown, two complimentary tickets to see Disney On Ice presents Dare to Dream along with a special invitation to a private meet & greet with a Disney princess on the show’s Opening Night Wednesday, March 6.

    Awesome!! I am hoping that I can get in tomorrow. I called my local Great Clips and they said they only had four vouchers for the free haircut. I am in need of a cut! Free tickets would be great also! Thank you for sharing.
